This album was made as a sacred gift . Revival is the devotional creative outpouring of a decade of steady tending to the muse. Songs sailed upon the wind on the mountainside beneath branches of aspen and cedar. The songs were caught in the hands of a sensitive mother. Ru Rose held and tended to the songs for most of ten years with steadfast devotion to a chop wood & haul water way of life, deep in the woods and high on a mountain off-grid and building a home from the ground up weaving the worlds of family, mother, and artist.The album Revival is the musical tapestry woven from a profound moment in time of stepping out of modern culture and into the wild unknown

With love for the Muse, The rhythms of the seasons, And life as ceremony, This album was created from each song recorded Live-Off-The-Forest-Floor to the tuning of 432 Hz Within the woods and mountains of the unceded and ancestral territories of the Sinixt and Ktunaxa nation, also known as the Kootenays of British Columbia. A moment was held in ritual and song A baby was growing in the womb within Family and Art held and woven as one Ru Rose was pregnant with child, or had a baby daughter asleep upon her back for each recording of this album Her devoted partner Kai Cabodyna helping hold the fruition with sound recording, videography, instrumentation of drum, bass, and banjo And holding the roles of father and partner Their son adding steadiness with a drum and the sweetness of his voice musical friends upon violin, native flute, and strings would accompany As well as birds, insects, squirrels, and elementals, also adding their magic
Revival is now born And like all who come to be born unto this blessed Earth and all that is wild and longed for this offering is perfect in its imperfection Like a seed in the wind Unknowing of where it may land May this offering come to be held in the hands of the kindred it was born for May it give nourishment, sustenance And from its life may more seeds of creation come to be And so it is And so it shall be Blessed be
